Ecological Consultancy Services Ltd (ECS) is an ecological consultancy based in Hampshire. We undertake surveys and site evaluations for a range of protected species and specialise in surveying for bats.

ECS has a broad client base ranging from home owners, architects, small/medium sized development, planning & ecological consultancies, local authorities, South Downs & New Forest National Park Authorities, the Environment Agency, Forestry England, Wildlife Trusts, Woodland Trust and the National Trust to large engineering and construction firms. Our scope of work includes large infrastructure schemes such as roads, wind farms, urban expansion or new town developments as well as localised alterations to domestic dwellings and farm buildings. We also undertake surveys and assessments for conservation purposes (e.g. to inform woodland management where rare species may be present). We provide training in all aspects of bat survey techniques including training other consultants for survey licences.

Survey licences held:

bats: class licences CL19 & CL20;

bats: Colleen Hope holds Natural England Earned Recognition to Level 3 and is a Registered Ecological Consultant on the Bat Low Impact Licence;
