Ecological Consultancy Services Ltd (ECS) is an ecological consultancy based in Hampshire. We undertake surveys and site evaluations for a range of protected species and specialise in surveying and assessing sites for bats.

ECS has a broad client base ranging from home owners, architects, small/medium sized development, planning & ecological consultancies, local authorities and some larger engineering and construction firms. We work directly for South Downs & New Forest National Park Authorities, Forestry England, the Wildlife Trusts, Woodland Trust and the National Trust. Our scope of work includes large infrastructure schemes such as roads, wind farms, urban expansion or new town developments as well as localised alterations to domestic dwellings and farm buildings. We also undertake surveys and assessments for conservation purposes (e.g. to inform woodland management where rare species may be present). We provide training in all aspects of bat survey techniques including training other consultants for survey licences.

Survey licences held:

Bats: class licences CL19 & CL20

Bats: Natural England Earned Recognition to Level 3 (WML-CL47, Annexes A, B, C, D H1 & H2) and is a Registered Ecological Consultant on Natural England's Bat Low Impact Licence

Survey licences also held for dormouse, great crested newt & barn owl. Licences also previously held for sand lizard & smooth snake;
